Just make some tiny app "Dell3dlutRester.exe" that rewrites 3Dlut with some "identity-matrix"-like data. you can read in these logs the I2C commands sent to our monitors: contrast, brightness, rgb gain AND pre-lut+matrix+post-lut data. and you could fix it very easy with a tiny app: X-Rite dev team shipped DCCS with ALL logs enabled (and debug info pdb files). It is a shame that DCCS DO NOT reset 3DLUTs before patches measurements and some users (like me) have issues with re-calibrations of CAL1/CAL2 if we do not reset its values to factory This is really a problem. if you RE-calibrate a hardware mode CAL1/CAL2 you MAY want to reset 3DLUTs (factory reset). use DCCS only in "Custom mode" (Native or Adobe RGB coordinates + D65 white point) + profiles version V2 (in order to validate them with 3rd party soft = GNU ArgyllCMS+DispCalGUI).

I1Profiler is not a very good software but I keep it to double check my current White Point coordinates. Because this software is registered to a device seems to be "portable", at least within the same Windows7 instalation.

Open it, it retains your hardware "ID" and still works. Unzip the previous file in some directory.

Uninstall i1Profiler and its crappy Windows Services Zip i1Profiler directory (in Program Files) Register i1Profile with your i1DisplayPro. IMHO the best way to proceed, if this happen to you, is (after DCCS + i1Profiler installation as described above): i1Profiler tray forces DDM to do not start with user login.

Install i1Profiler and say NO every time setup program ask you to install a Xrite device driver = You DO want to keep i1DisplayPro driver shipped with DCCS.īy the way, I've experienced issues with i1Profile and Dell Display Manager. Install DCCS and say YES every time setup program ask you to install a Xrite device driver. Uninstall your current setup of DCCS and i1Profiler

if you don't do printer/scanner calibration, you just want monitor calibration & profilling, better try GNU software) You can check by yourseft that this is the correct file for these monitors: just open this binary file with your favourite text editor and you will see texts strings like "Spectral addition for U2413" etc.Ģ) Dell Color Calibration Solution and i1Profiler can coexist, at least in W7圆4SP1: There is a file named "RG_Phosphor_family.edr" in X-Rite software directories. This is of course not a Dell problem, I just mention it as an information for anybody interested)ġ) Regarding i1Profiler, latest version is 1.4.2 it works with GB-LED monitors: the specific configuration for U2413/U2713H/U3014 models is "RG_phosphor". (By the way, using the i1Profiler for a non-hardware calibration is not a good alternative either, this program has several monitor presets but no specific one for GB-LED even if it is X-Rite that has made the Dell Ultrasharp Color Calibration Solution software. The hardware calibration is an essential part of this monitors capabilities and the only software doing the trick is delivered together with the monitor. No support ticket created, their only suggestion was the standard one - reinstall the operating system.

I have temporarily solved the problem by using a dual boot installation and made the calibration under a 64 bit Win7 system (on same computer).Īnyone running the calibration on Win8? Can not get any support from Dell, they claim they support only the hardware issues which is a shame. On a 64 bit Win8 system the software crashes already on red when starting to read the colors. Other software like the X-Rite i1Profiler works and I never had a problem with the Spyder 3 Pro which I used for the previous monitor. Problem can be resolved by connecting the monitor to USB 2. First it does not recognize the i! Display Pro device when connecting the monitor to USB 3. I received this Dell calibration software together with a U3014 monitor and there are a couple of issues.
